An objective assessment is a test with a cut score. Accelerate on evidence, not on optimism
Clearing courses early is the real economy of a competency program. Finish ahead of the pacing guide and the term ends with courses banked, which is time and money you keep. The failure mode is obvious in hindsight: too many courses attempted at once, all of them half finished when the term flips.
So a plan starts from a count. How many competency units remain, how many weeks are left, how many hours a week genuinely exist after work. Then courses are ordered by what can be cleared soonest rather than by what looks interesting. A term with four courses left is usually recoverable, and which four matters more than the number.
The capstone is three deliverables that must agree
