Edit my paper.

Which edit did you actually want? Three different jobs share the word, and paying for the wrong one is why edited papers come back with the same grade attached. Say what the paper needs, or send it and a specialist will tell you.

Three jobs, one word

Most disappointment with editing comes from a mismatch. A paper whose argument does not answer the prompt is sent for proofreading, comes back clean, and loses the same marks it was always going to lose. Naming the job first is half the value.

If you are unsure which one applies, send the paper and the rubric and a specialist names it before quoting. That reading costs nothing, and it is quite often the cheaper of the three that gets recommended.

The reference list is read against the paper

Two checks catch most citation damage and neither is difficult. First, every in-text citation has an entry in the list, and every entry in the list appears somewhere in the text. Papers written across three sittings routinely fail both directions, and the mismatch is trivial to spot from the marker's side.

Second, the sources open. A reference that does not resolve, or that says something near but not equal to the claim it supports, undoes the work around it. Anything unsupportable gets replaced with something real rather than softened into vagueness, and the entries are rebuilt to the manual the course names, whether that is APA, AMA, MLA or Turabian.

What an edit cannot fix

An edit works on the paper in front of it. Where a paper answers a different question from the one set, no amount of sentence work rescues it, and you will be told that rather than billed for polish. The same applies to a methods section describing something that was never done, or an assignment whose length is half what the brief required.

In those cases the honest options are a rebuild or a fresh draft, quoted separately, or you take the notes and rewrite it yourself. Where the writing was never the problem and the course is, that is class help instead.

What arrives, and when

You get the edited document with every change tracked, a short set of notes tied to the rubric rows they affect, and a list of anything a marker could reasonably question. Notes say why rather than only what, because a silently corrected paper teaches nothing for the next one.

Ordinary turnaround runs a couple of days, and a rush lane exists for shorter fuses. A free revision within seven days covers anything that drifted from the original brief. A term-long arrangement, with each paper in a course read ahead of its deadline, works out cheaper per paper and is described on the feedback service page.

01

Send the draft

The paper, the prompt and the rubric. A specialist reads all three and says which edit it needs, then prices it within two hours.

02

Agree the job

Structural, line or proof, with the depth written down so nothing arrives lighter or heavier than you expected.

03

Read the changes

The document comes back with changes tracked and notes attached to rubric rows, plus a week to ask for anything adjusted.

Questions

How do I know which edit my paper needs?

Send it with the rubric and a specialist will say. As a rough guide, a paper you are unsure about needs a structural read, a paper you believe in but wrote quickly needs a line edit, and a paper you have already revised twice needs a proof. Being talked down to the cheaper job happens often and costs nothing to find out.

Do you rewrite, or correct what is there?

Correct, unless you ask otherwise. The aim is your paper working properly rather than a new paper in an editor's voice, so changes stay tracked and reversible and the argument remains yours. Where a section genuinely has to be rebuilt, that is flagged and quoted rather than done quietly, because a rebuilt section is writing rather than editing.

Will it still read as mine?

Yes, and that is treated as a constraint rather than a preference. A specialist reads earlier work of yours before touching the draft and edits toward your habits, tightening what is loose and leaving what is characteristic. You will still be enrolled in this course next month, and a paper that sounds like somebody else creates a problem the grade improvement does not offset.

Which style manuals do you handle?

APA, AMA, MLA and Turabian, plus whatever your syllabus adds on top of the manual, which is often where the real requirements hide. Send the course's own formatting instructions with the draft. Heading levels, title pages and reference construction differ enough between manuals that a paper half remembering another one reads as careless rather than confused.

What if the paper is due tomorrow?

Sometimes, and you get a straight yes or no quickly rather than a maybe. Short notice costs more because fitting it in means moving scheduled work for other students. A rushed structural edit is also the least effective kind, so where a paper needs real restructuring the honest answer may be that tomorrow is not enough time to help properly.
